Quilts

Both of these are throws that I made for my living room. They are very different in style and stitching but I love them both all the same!!!!   And now for the back..... my favorite backs are pieced together.  I very seldom have a solid back.  Ok! I will show you some of the stitching, but remember I am new to quilting and free motion stitching.  I love free motion.  I love seeing what I can create and if I can actually do it.  I just wish I could figure out to prevent puckers..... I guess the only way would be a long arm quilter.  could you imagine that would be my dream come true.  don't laugh

and now the borders....

Most of the decorations in my home is western.  So this fits in just fine.  Some of the fabric on this is from my little girls clothes.

One of my few solid backs.

this quilt was for my oldest daughter Bailey. She picked out all the fabric and pattern.  It is always interesting to me to see how other people put fabric combos together.   

All of the stitching on this quilt is hearts in some way or fashion.

I hope you all enjoy looking at the quilts as much as I enjoyed making them.  I can't make them fast enough. 

One lovely lady!!!!!

My banner is a pic of my Onnie.  This is my grandmother.  We call her Mim.  She is the one who planted the seed of quilting in me.  She planted so many seeds in my life,and been such a strong influence.  She is 91 and you can tell she is still going strong.  She is starting to have trouble with her vision.  She is such a LADY!!! I have never heard her say a cuss word, or even a bad thing about a person.  She never complains and is the first one to help someone. Did I mention that she is the best cook ever.  I hope I can be half the woman she is when I grow up.  I love her with all my heart and soul.  She always has that special way of making me feel like I am her only grandchild. 

Now for my May list. 
I have finished binding for Kenzie's quilt and all I have to do is bind the quilt. 
I put the rick rack on the lady bug quilt and I need to make a back.
My largest accomplishment for this weekend is cleaning out my sewing room aka therapy room.

 
This is my stash.  I hope my husband doesn't look in here because I always tell him I need more fabric.

This is where I hang large pieces of fabric.  I really did not know I had this much fabric. I hope it multiplies.
I love fabric.... I am so glad it is organized now and I can see it all.
